What is the most basic necessity needed to live? Water. Globally 4.5 billion people lack access to safely managed sanitation, and 2.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, which is nearly 1 in 3 people around the world. This basic necessity is something that many people take for granted everyday, while those who lack this necessity are fighting not only for better water, but for their lives. The WASH Project aims to provide education, awareness, and funding to schools and children in underdeveloped regions. In 1990 WASH and UNICEF partnered together to play a key role as 2.6 billion people gained access to safe drinking water.
